Established in 1987, Scheiber Design Group is a full-service interior design firm with clients and projects across the US. By evaluating your lifestyle and needs we create a home for you that is truly personal. We strive to create timeless designs for modern living. We use an eclectic mix of custom furnishings and unique finds creating a comfortable harmonious interior tailored to your lifestyle.
Billy Alexander has been a principal at SDG since 2011.
Billy Alexander | Principal
Billy Alexander joined SDG in 2000 and became a partner in 2011. Today, Billy leads SDG's operations and maintains a full schedule as principal designer. He has built a reputation as an interior designer who is uniquely creative, energetic, and fun to work with.
“Interior design is not my job, it’s my passion,” notes Billy. “Designing someone's home is a very personal endeavor. I care about those custom details that bring something meaningful to each project. I travel quite frequently and visiting new places and cultures is very inspiring. I’m a collector at heart and love finding unique and authentic furnishings that I incorporate into my designs.”

Before joining SDG, Billy studied textile design at Philadelphia College of Textiles & Science and worked for Danish apparel company Inwear/Matinique. Billy lives in an Eichler home in Marin County, California with his husband and miniature wirehair dachshund. They also maintain a home in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware just across the bay from Billy’s hometown, Cape May, New Jersey.

Daen Scheiber | Founder & Principal
Daen Scheiber opened the doors of Scheiber Design Group in 1987. He was quickly recognized as an up and coming name in Bay Area design and has since had his work featured in the SF Chronicle, House Beautiful and Better Homes and Gardens. HGTV has featured Daen’s work twice on their excellent “Homes Across America” series. Both residential and commercial projects have been completed all over the United States as well as internationally. His successful firm continues to thrive as it enters it’s 30th year.
Daen was born and raised in Marysville, California and grew up on his family’s ranch. His first design project was remodeling the family residence. Daen studied design and fine art at the Art Center in Pasadena and Long Beach State University while continuing a career in dance. His passion for residential design work eventually brought him to San Francisco. He took the real estate market by storm designing innovative contemporary interiors behind traditional Victorian facades.
Always interested in bringing a unique and custom approach to his projects, Daen doesn’t follow trends. He specializes in creating homes of enduring comfort and beauty whether traditional or contemporary in style. In 2011, Daen invited Billy Alexander to join him as a partners at SDG.
